From Street to Wear: Dipset Unveils Clothing Line

May 15, 2014StyleComments130 Views

Dipset fans will be excited to hear that Cam'ron and Jim Jones teamed up recently to launch the DIPSET USA clothing line. As one of the biggest hip hop movements to come out of New York (ever), the masses are sure to appreciate their re-emergence. Tees, snapbacks, hoodies, and beanies will be available, all donning the the DIPSET logo.  Killa Cam announced his elation for the new line to hopefully inspire and appeal to up and coming Dipset fans and talks about how the brand came to be. He mentions that his Harlem-based rap group, The Diplomats (better known as Dipset) has been dormant for a few years but now they're back in the limelight and the vibe is so good, they're not going anywhere.

"You know, everybody started doing their solo stuff, we all branched into other businesses. But at the end of the day we made investments, we our own bosses and all the profit comes back to us so we definitely gona be around and we ain't going nowhere. And besides that there's a whole new generation of Dipset coming up underneath us, so-we'll be around for a minute."

The clothing has a fresh, tough look with a loud sense of identity (i.e. their nicknames printed on the tees in jersey-style fashion) which mirrors the hardcore nature and determination of the group members, themselves. Originally composed of Cam'ron, Freekey Zekey, and Jim Jones-Juelz Santana would later join the group in 99' to solidify the rap phenomenon we know today as Dipset.
