T.I. drops new album
Seasoned rapper T.I. has been in the game for years and recently released his eighth studio album, "Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head." The latest record has a mix of solid beats, collaborations and soulful music that fans both new and old may enjoy. The Detroit Free Press reports the artist wanted to make a record for everyone, rather than creating songs that only his diehard fans can relate to.
"My ultimate intention with this project was to give them everything that they've grown to love - those classic, vintage T.I. sounds, say like 'Trap Muzik' and 'Urban Legend,' and mix it with the more mainstream, the more recent sounds of, say, 'Paper Trail,'" T.I. told the publication. "[I wanted a] cohesive blend and a perfect balance between those two sounds and approaches to music - and I think we've accomplished that."
The new album features a plethora of guest appearances from the likes of Lil Wayne, Pink, Andre 3000 and R. Kelly. Newsday reports the collaborations are important to the overall sound on the record and that, specifically, R. Kelly's part on the song "Can You Learn," makes the track stand out.
The album dropped on December 18.
