Time travel: Nike Air Up '14
After 20 years in the vault, the Nike Air Ups are making a triumphant return. However, this is not your typical basketball sneaker. It's not technically a signature shoe, and yet superstars Scottie Pippen and Penny Hardaway were both rocking this style on the court in the mid '90s. So it makes sense for the brand to revive the Air Ups, especially considering that they keep bringing back retro Hardaway kicks.
This edition is so close to the classic model that you'll be transported back in time to '94-'95. The Orlando Magic-inspired colorway resembles the originals Penny sported in his second season, featuring a black and bright white upper, Air-cushioned midsole and outsole with Game Royal blue accents on the tongue text, Flight logo on the heel and patent Swoosh branding on the side panels. That doesn't mean there haven't been a few modern upgrades, though. The now all-leather build has been given the Vac-Tec treatment, which is a technology that provides a seamless, one-piece stitch-free construction for a sleek look.
Do you like Penny's signature sneakers or the Air Ups better?
