Tupac takes Broadway

The hip hop community is committed to keeping the spirit of Tupac alive - after buzz about a biopic on him started spreading, a new musical inspired by his music is coming to Broadway.

"Holler if Ya Hear Me" isn't just a musical biography about Tupac's life events. According to XXL magazine, the $8 million show is about "friendship, family, revenge, change and hope," and involves inner-city characters and their constant struggles. With Tupac's own mother, Afeni Shakur, on board as a producer, you can bet that this production will have authentic aspects that speak to the rapper's work. "Me Against the World," "Keep Ya Head Up," and "California Love" are just a few of the tracks audiences will hear performed on stage.

According to HipHopDX, opening night is May 26 at the Palace Theater.

What timeless Tupac tracks are you hoping make it into the show?
