Tyson Beckford's model behavior lands him in the dog house
Male model Tyson Beckford has been in the fashion industry for a long time, but recently his inflated ego landed him in the dog house. BET reports Beckford recently told the U.K.'s Evening Standard that he was a major player in helping his model girlfriend, Shanina Shaik, make it in the business.
"When I found her she was a regular girl, I helped place her with the right people, get her teeth cleaned, her body toned up.… Everything changed and now everyone wants a piece of her." Beckford told the publication. "I hear people say, 'You can do better than Tyson.' I'm like, 'Really? Really?! I created her!?'"
Shaik fired back, telling GlobalGrind.com the truth behind her natural good looks.
"He did not make me. My mother made me.…," she told the news source. "He's in the dog house, but I'll let him out if he's good."
Although Beckford may have his foot in his mouth right now, he does have a lot of valuable information about modeling and fashion that Shaik may want to take notes on.
According to the Evening Standard interview, Beckford has been in the industry for 17 years, modeling for everyone from Ralph Lauren and Ducati to Rocawear and other hip hop clothes.
