The Ultimate Sneaker Mashup: Air Jordan 1 Retro '86
Whether or not you're a sneaker purist, there's no denying that once in a while, a hybrid model comes along that perfectly blends the best elements of two different styles. That's the case with the Air Jordan 1 Retro '86, which seamlessly merges past with present and retro with modern for a bolder take on MJ's first two signature shoes.
The latest shoe in Jordan's series of hybrids, this one combines the silhouette and paneling of the 1s with the iconic heel counter and wings tongue logo of the 2s. Add textured Safari print overlays on the side panels and toe box and you have a bold pair of kicks that are just as contemporary as they are classic. The all-black leather upper is accented with bright white and Pure Platinum accents throughout for a palette that's both sleek and simplistic.
This is only the first edition of the Jordan 1 Retro '86, so keep an eye on Jimmy Jazz for more colorways in the near future. In the meantime, be sure to cop the debut pair on April 12, when they land on JJ store shelves and the website for $130.
