Who Does Blake Griffin Think Deserves MVP?
Just because Blake Griffin won the Western Conference Player of the Week Award for the third time this season and is averaging a career-high 24.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists doesn't mean he's campaigning for MVP. In fact, the Los Angeles Clippers forward thinks it's going to come down to two men. Why is he taking himself out of the race? According to ESPN, he told the press that there isn't one player carrying the Clippers.
"The stretch of games that we've played and we've been successful has been a huge team effort," he said, as quoted by the source. "Jamal Crawford was playing out of his mind before he got hurt and guys have stepped up and really done their part. With our team I don't think it's one guy that's making us go."
So which two candidates does Griffin think deserve the honor? It's safe to say that it comes down to LeBron James and Kevin Durant. Even Clippers forward Jared Dudley reportedly named them as No. 1 and No. 2 in the NBA, with Griffin close behind.
