Your earbuds just got a little bit smarter
Your earbuds have no doubt become an essential accessory - and plugging them in could soon mean a whole lot more than just playing your favorite hip hop tracks. According to Complex magazine, Apple is taking this technology up a notch by installing a monitoring system in their headphones and earbuds that will be able to track a range of physical data, including your heart rate, the number of steps you've taken and your perspiration. So if your New Year's resolution was to get in shape, you can forget a wristband - this could be your go-to tool for staying on track.
Whether or not fitness is a focus for you, there are other dope features to these smart earbuds. Don't bother lifting a finger to change a song - all it will take is a subtle tilt of your head to switch tracks. The built-in motion sensors will also be able to respond to the direction of your gaze, meaning that you could turn a device off and save battery power by merely looking away from it. Still not impressed? Imagine your GPS system responding to your gaze so that you can get directions while on a run - that's just one more of the features to look forward to.
The best part? If you already have a favorite pair of earbuds from Jimmy Jazz, you can simply attach the Apple sensor technology to the set you already own.
This technology is still in an experimental stage but are you already putting this item on your tech wish list?
