By Souleo. If music is the soundtrack of our lives, then fashion is the visual indicator of our personal evolution. By looking back on our fashion choices in life it is easy to understand who we were and what we were experiencing at any given moment in time. With our new JimmyJazz.com feature stylEvolution celebrities will trace their personal evolution through style.
Our inaugural subject is veteran singer, actor and all-around talent, Marques Houston. Marques has undergone major style changes from his days with the parted mini-afro playing Roger on the hit show, "Sister, Sister" to his half naked and beefed up look to his now hip and laid-back fashion choices as seen in the promotions for his forthcoming album Mattress Music.
Trace Marques' evolution below as he talks feeling trapped by his role as Roger, why his style during the album, Naked is one the most confident periods of his life, how being close to 30 has eliminated the pressures of fashion and more.
"The part was there because, Roger had braids on the show and my hairstyle for Immature was different. I was trying to merge the two hairstyles. During this time I felt like as an artist I had to break free of that character and be totally different. I felt that wasn't the direction I wanted people to see me in my later teen years. That's why I didn't do the last season."

"I decided to be a little racy this time since I had to step out and show people that I was a man now. I was kind of skinny growing up so I wanted to beef up more and be more masculine. I trained for almost 3 months straight with a strict diet and only drinking water. During this I time was very comfortable with my body."

"Nowadays my style now is more grown. I am comfortable with myself as an artist so I don't try to be too over-the-top or this fashion guru that everybody follows. I'm almost 30 and when you get to this age it's less about entertainment but who you are in your everyday life. Nowadays I like Gucci loafers and jackets, Levi's, and Nike's."

In the spirit of Christmas (and basketball), Nike Basketball delivers yet another hilarity with it's Kobe Bryant and LeBron James puppets, with music provided by hip-hop legend, KRS-One (who also plays a stylish Santa in the clip). The trio gets called on by 3 trash talking reindeers to the court. Gets who gets dunked on?
If your in the Ohio area, make sure to swing by the Jimmy Jazz store in LeBron James' hometown of Akron and cop' the LeBron James Nike Zoom. Also available at JimmyJazz.com in all black.

So Allen Iverson may have just been better off retiring from the game of basketball. Back in September, Iverson was traded to Memphis Grizzlies from the Detroit Pistons. Since his trade to Memphis, Iverson was upset that he had to ride the bench, due to serious back injury. Shortly after, in November, Iverson and the Grizzlies parted their ways and Iverson made his way back to the team he first started his professional career with, the Philadelphia 76ers.
But, it may have just been better for the Hampton, VA born Iverson to just settled on top. During a game with the Detroit Pistons, Rodney Stuckey gave Iverson the business. Some may say that that Stuckey, 23, hit Iverson with a astonishing cross-over, but others argue that Allen Iverson tripped. You be the judge.
To keep Allen Iverson on top of his game, we compiled some of our hottest basketball kicks. Here's what we recommend for Iverson to roc on the court.

Let's cross our fingers and hope that the rumors are true! Today, SandraRose.com reported that the Atlanta rapper may be released early from his bid at Arkansas' Forrest Prison and moved to a half-way house. These rumors have not been confirmed by the proper sources. Currently, T.I. is still serving his original sentence of 366-days, which began back in May.
Regardless of the matter, T.I. is is one of the most trendy rappers in music. In one of our favorite songs, "Live Your Life (featuring Rihanna), the self-proclamied King of the South raps about ignoring haters and urges that we simply live our lives to the very fullest. Tip equally motivates us to stay on top of our game... with style. in the song he spits:
"I'm the opposite of moderate. Immaculately polished. With the spirit of a hustler. And the swagger of a college kid"

JimmyJazz.com addressed that Wale is “fly” in his Nike Boots in our Blog post last month, and now we can say the same for his debut album, Attention Deficit. Being named “the greatest rapper since Jay-Z,” by GQ magazine, Wale has some huge shoes to fill. The Washington D.C., native is not trying to be politically correct. Lyrically speaking, the rapper goes hard. The DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) rep and fan of “Go-Go” music discusses self insecurities, triumph, success, and love.
Ladies may refer to him as Mr. Never-Wear-Same-Thing, Attention Deficit delivers a raw emotion that Wale expresses only a woman can deliver. Female sensations Lady Gaga, Jazmine Sullivan, Chrisette Michele, Melanie Fiona and sampled Rihanna assist the visionary.
The mind of a listener is short. Wale wants to change the way music is heard.
Downloads: “Pretty Girls feat. Gucci Mane,” “Shades feat. Chrisette Michele,” “World Tour feat. Jazmine Sullivan,” and “90210.”

If you have yet to buy your costume for Halloween Day.... no worries, you can still go trick-or-treating in some cool gear from JimmyJazz.com.
Yeah, rapper Jay-Z said on his hit "Run This Town", featuring Rihanna and Kanye West, that 'all black everything' is the new cool, but we here at JimmyJazz.com disagree. Ladies, add a bit of pink to your kicks this Fall/ Winter season before you hit the town or class. We guarentee that you will set the blueprint for style.
Here are some of our favorite selections.....

Hip Hop Artist, Wale sure is. Last year the DC rapper (now signed with Interscope) created a ode song to the swoosh boot with the air bubble sole. The Video features cameo's by DJ Kid Capri, Bun B, 9th Wonder, Raheem DeVaugn, Young Chris, Neef and DC natives UCB and Tabi Bonney. Look out for Wale's debut release, Attention: Deficit... coming in November!

On Friday, August 28th 2009, DJ AM was found dead in his NYC apartment. The sudden lost comes almost a year after surviving a tragic plane crash with Blink 182's Travis Barker, while taking off from a college event in West Columbia, SC.
Not only was AM a incredible turntablist, the Philly-born international DJ (and Nicole Ritchie's ex- fiancée) was a sneakerhead. In a interview with MTV News he claimed to have owned approximately 600 pairs. AM was also fortunate to have his very own customed Nike Air Force 1.
In honor of DJ AM, the Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV held a moment of silence and lit the A & M on the building. AM spun at the hotel every Friday.
