By Souleo Last night at Jimmy Jazz on 125th St. in Harlem, Keri Hilson, (that's Miss Keri Baby for the boys) was in the house. Keri passed through to play music from her new release No Boys Allowed and to sign autographs of the new album. Lines formed outside the store as fans waited with baited breath to catch a glimpse of the singer. After Keri signed autographs she got intimate with JimmyJazz.com for a brief run through of The Questions. Read on to learn how she discovered her beauty, the one song she wishes she never gave away and more.
I knew I was a pretty girl who rocked when...I started to believe I myself within.
I was never the same after...meeting Timbaland.
The way I love is....pure.
The one song I passed on that I wish I kept for myself is...Danity Kane's "Right Now."
The one thing I'm still learning to accept is...compliments.

By Souleo w/assistance from Melissa Santaella. Singer-songwriter, Keri Hilson may have come under fire recently for wearing too little clothing in her video for the single, "The Way You Love Me," but she knows how to cover up when it comes to staying stylish and warm.

Keri Hilson wants you to know how much she loves sex; another Black man gets arrested for something he didn't do but this particular case has a twist; and there may be a reason to not fear the aging process in the future. The world starts spinning upside down now.
Keri Hilson has been a bad girl

In her new video "The Way You Love Me," singer-songwriter Keri Hilson sings explicitly about her bedroom skills, grinds on doors and displays all kinds of hyper sexuality. Of course she's not the first one to do it and won't be the last, but Keri has created some major controversy this week. There are those who support her expressing her sexuality while others see it as just another desperate attempt to remain relevant. Plus many question the potentially destructive message this sends to her young female listeners. For the last two reasons alone I'm siding with the commenter after the jump.
"I respect Keri for that pretty girl rock song and I tend to like the grown and sexy myself but the stupid song and attention seeking video was a major fail for a girl who can actually sing"

It matters if you're Black or White

Whoever said that it doesn't matter what color you are in life must not have ever been falsely accused of robbing a bank. Such was the case for an unidentified Black man in Cincinnati, Ohio who was wrongly arrested for robbing six banks. The story goes that a White man named, Conrad Zdzierak donned a silicone mask to resemble a Black man while robbing the banks. Zdzierak now faces up to 35 years in prison. Still in this funny comment below you've got to wonder what would have happened if the criminal really was Black.
"He got about 15 years less than he would have gotten if he were really black!!"

Old is the new young?

Well not quite yet, but the again process for humans may be a little less daunting in the future. Recently researchers at Harvard University demonstrated the ability to slow down and reverse the aging process in mice. Now they have their eyes set on doing the same for humans. If so, the anti-aging therapy could help reduce the challenges of many age-related health issues, such as strokes and heart disease. Of course for some people death is preferred over taxes.

By Souleo w/assistance from Melissa Santaella. Keri Hilson. The Dream. Sean Garrett. The list is long with behind-the-scenes hitmakers turned solo artists and now you can add to that list, Wynter Gordon. After writing songs for artists such as Mary J. Bilge and Jennifer Lopez and a guest feature on Flo Rida's hit, "Sugar," Wynter is ready to prove that she is hot as ice. She's already secured a dance floor hit with "Dirty Talk," as she puts the finishing touches on her forthcoming debut album. JimmyJazz.com got down and dirty with the rising star as she talked what it takes to show her naughty side, dating older men, and learning that patience is the key to success.

She's not afraid to get dirty behind closed doors:
If I had a boo and we were really close and he put a ring on it, then yes I would talk very dirty. It would be my only job. I'm like a feline but the only one person who gets to see that is when they put a ring on it.
Her lyrics often come from her challenging life experiences:
Not having a dad around put me in a situation where I was dating older dudes at a really young age and that taught me a lot of lessons. It gave me a lot of songs and a lot of things to write about because I made my mistakes early on. Plus my family didn't have a lot of money and things like that. So it let me use my imagination more. That made me the crazy weird person I am today.
She's been around the world:
I've traveled around the world since I got signed and met a lot of new people. I've been to Egypt, Israel, London, Sweden, Beirut and Lebanon. The guys are really handsome in Lebanon but my favorite one had to be Beirut. It's like Miami but every single guy is hot.
She's learned to wait her turn:
It can be frustrating when you know that you're talented, you're working all day and writing songs. It's like you want somebody to pay attention and it can take a long time. Then you see other people coming out before you and it's really frustrating. But if you're resilient as I am you get through it.

2009 has proven to be a big year for male R&B singers and sex. Everywhere you turn there’s an R&B singer talking about how they will make your “Bedrock” (Young Money ft. Lloyd), how they are “Number One,” in the bedroom (R.Kelly ft. Keri Hilson) or even claiming to have “Invented Sex,” (Trey Songz). It’s enough to either make you call up a partner and get busy tonight or long for R&B songs not just about sex, but about love and life. (Cue: Anthony Hamilton and Raheem Devaughn, two soul brothers that are equally adept at being sensual and socially conscious.)
If anyone created “the” sex song of 2009 it is Jeremih with the smash hit, “Birthday Sex.” JimmyJazz.com spoke to Jeremih about the year of sex’n’b to get his thoughts on the trend and its impact both musically and socially.
Jeremih notes that sex is what’s selling, but that this is nothing new.
“It’s a level now where people are expecting R&B music to be. Even back in the day music was sexual—probably not as sexually put but there were some pretty sexual songs. So it’s still here because obviously the sex is what’s selling and it's what people want to hear,” he said.
Hate it or not, Jeremih is right with sex’n’b ruling the 2009 charts so according to the evidence it is what’s selling. Still, the lyrical content is more provocative than some of the sexual songs from back in the day. While this is in some cases a positive sign of sexual liberation, it is also a trend resulting in excessive promiscuity and questionable behavior. For example, R&B concerts have now turned into displays of all kinds of sexual acts.
During his promotional tour, Jeremih was witness to the sexually aggressive nature of his fans.
“The front row is like the Mardi Gras vibe. They all had on they little freakum dresses, and the whole time I was performing they just had their tops down and it was just like crazy,” he said.
The music is having an impact and for better or worse releasing the sexual inhibitions of fans, but the troubling part is that many of those fans are youth. One of the side effects of sex driven R&B is that many of these artists have young fanbases who get sold on a message they are too young to fully comprehend.
Jeremih realizes that the sexual songs are affecting youth and he admits that he doesn’t like the fact that ten year olds recite his lyrics.
“I don’t think at all that it’s appropriate. Nowadays kids are doing a lot more different things. They having sex at like ten now and I don’t even think I got hard then. I definitely wouldn’t condone it or propose to tell kids to engage in it. Being as though they are anyway I feel like I might as well do a keep it safe campaign,” he said.
With so much sex’n’b and young listeners gravitating to the music, the music industry will soon have to start similar campaigns to take responsibility for the messages being marketed to their young demographic. However that won’t be enough if the messages in the music are inconsistent and still sell sex to youth. Perhaps less freaky songs will do the trick?
Let’s see what happens to sex’n’b in 2010.
