By Souleo. Bad girls aren't always authentic. Sometimes beneath the layer of boldness is a feminine sexuality yearning to be set free. Such is the style journey of R&B singer, Olivia. When she first arrived on the scene with J. Records and her hit song, "Bizounce," she had all the hip-hip clothing, attitude and sass of a bad girl. It turns out that was all a front.

"When I was on J. Records I came straight out of college and was the experimental artist. They made me the bad girl, Alicia Keys the good girl and Jimmy Cozier all the way reggae. I'm trying to fit in but I wasn't that [bad girl]. I came straight out of church and that's what made them love me. So I was confused," she said.
Being the former lone female member of 50 Cent's, G-Unit clique gave Olivia the chance to begin defining a new sense of style for herself with less bad girl posturing and more sexiness. But it's now as a fully-fledged independent artist where she is learning o balance her tough and sexy sides by taking control of her image
"I've always been sexy but I'm also a tomboy 'cause I love my sweats and Nike's. Now my style is balanced. It is crazy, sexy and cool."
To attain her look Olivia relies heavily on accessories noting that all it takes it a hot bag, shades and shoes to get fierce.
"Your accessories set off what you wear. I'm a firm believer that your whole outfit doesn't have to be expensive so long as your shoes, shades and bags are on point."
Olivia is currently in the studio working on her forthcoming release Show the World and taping her upcoming VH1 reality show, "Married to Hip-Hop."

Stop the hype: All the celebrity gossip. It's everywhere. The people love it. I find myself checking it out too. I'm like don't read it but I can't help it. It's like a drug. You have to at least read the cover.
Currently crazy about: "Unthinkable (I'm Ready)" by Alicia Keys. Somebody who happened to be a guy-I won't say who-sent me that song and said listen to it. I want to work with Alicia Keys and do a song with her.
I wish I could: I want to be in a movie ad I'm working on it. I want to be in a Tyler Perry movie.
Favorite designer/brand: I love Catherine Malandrino's stores. She is very in tune with the shape of a woman's body. I am very curvy and can go into her store and buy something and it doesn't have to be altered. I know it will fit me in all the right places and be classic and fun.
You'd be surprised to know: I ride a motorcycle. I've been riding since I was a little girl. When I was in Nashville last week I put 600 miles on my bike just riding with my friends and family. I've been riding since I was little with my mom and dad. It's a bonding moment for my brother and me. I brought my bike in 2005 so it's one of my things that I love to do.
I dance in my underwear to: Beyonce. I love "Single Ladies" and "Halo."
I'll never say never to: I try to say never say never period 'because you never know what will happen.
When I'm in bed at night: I say my prayers and thank God for all the things he blessed me with and the wonderful people in my life. I pray that everyday I can do something that will make a positive impact on somebody else's life.

On Saturday, both NBA commenter Charles Barkley and Singer/ Songwriter Alicia Keys took the stage and went live on New York's Saturday Night Live. Barkley, hosted the show, while Alicia was the entertainment guest and performed "Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart" and "Empire State of Mind". Key's also appeared in one comedy skit. Take a look at one of Barkley's skits from the show, as well as Key's killing the keys on "Empire State of Mind".
If you notice, Charles Barkley chuckles a bit throughout the skit, but still does a good job playing himself and keeping viewers entertained.
What better song to perform on New York's Saturday Night Live than "Empire State of Mind"?
Speaking of "Empire State of Mind". Rocawear just released a limited edition t-shirt for women commemorating the hit record from Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3. The screen-print tee features a Statue of Liberty in the backdrop with red sunglasses. Would you cop this?

As reported this week, on Sunday during MTV's Video Music Awards (VMA's), Lil Mama jumped-up on stage unwelcomely during Jay-Z's closing performance for "Empire State of Mind", which features Songress, Alicia Keys. Viewers at home and at the awards where puzzled by the appearance. Check out the video interview below with America's Best Dance Crew judge, Lil Mama, talking to Tim Kash about her publicized, failed apperance at the VMA's.
Above all, can you blame her? She's was just trying to show respect to one of the greats. What do you guys think? Here's the original performance footage from Sunday night:

Last night will be one of the most talked about MTV Video Music Awards in network history. From Lady Gaga's outlandish wardrobe to Lil Mama's not-so-cool stage appearance during Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind" performance with NYC's very own, Alicia Keys. But, by far the highlight of the evening had to be when Kanye West interrupted Country/ Pop megasgtar, Taylor Swift speech while she was receiving her Moon Man for "Best Female Video". Here's the clip from his VERY rude interruption.
Above all, things managed to work out for Taylor. While Beyonce was on stage receiving her accolade for "Video of the Year" for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)", she invited the 19 year-old on stage to finish her "Best Female Video" speech.
