Music superstar, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson joins forces with Six Flags Great Adventure, the world renowned safari, water and theme park in Jackson, New Jersey, for an exclusive concert to benefit the G-Unity Foundation, an organization created by the rapper to improve the quality of life for low income and underserved communities. The multi-platinum, award-winning rap artist will perform in the Northern Star Arena on Aug. 29, 2009 at 7 p.m.

50 Cent stormed the music scene in 2003 with his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin', which included U.S. Billboard Top 40 songs "In da Club" and "21 Questions." He released his second studio album, The Massacre, in 2005 which sold 1.14 million copies in the first four days. His sophomore record produced three Top 5 singles including "Candy Shop," which reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Vitaminwater, the rapper's beverage of choice, will provide transportation for hundreds of children from Queens, New York, 50 Cent's childhood neighborhood, as well as the company's home base to see him perform live in concert at Six Flags Great Adventure.

"I am constantly searching for ways to give back to the community that helped create me and contributed to my success," said Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. "I can think of no better way to do this than to help improve the lives of the young people that reside there through programs created by my foundation."

50 Cent will perform live as part of Six Flags Great Adventure's Summer Concert Series. Tickets for the concert are available at sixflags.com and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the foundation in an effort to establish academic programs in the region.
