Throughout the course of your life, you’ve most likely heard someone say, “Lightning never strikes the same place twice.” And, while the probability of that outcome is astronomically slim, it does happen every once in a while – just ask Nike.
Back in 2014, the brand released a retina-scorching colorway of the Air Foamposite Pro, dubbed “Volt.” The sneaker boasted an electrifying, neon-yellow color scheme that set the sneaker world ablaze with its out-of-the-box aesthetic. It’s been seven years since its initial drop, and the highly coveted colorway is set to strike again later this month.
This 2021 iteration of the Air Foamposite Pro “Volt” stays true to the original with a “Volt” Foamposite shell upper and matching lateral-side Swooshes. Mesh tongues are done in the same attention-grabbing hue, while black accents in the form of “Air” branding and embroidered stripes add contrast. Tongue tabs are home to black, racing stripe–esque details, and heel tabs display “Foamposite” lettering. The upper is finished by black, embroidered Swoosh logos on the heels.
The sneaker is anchored by semitranslucent “Volt”-rubber outsoles, which feature a grippy herringbone traction pattern. A “Volt”-and-black-speckled carbon-fiber shank plate completes the design.
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Volt” is set to land March 17th on JimmyJazz.com. Get there early.
