Reworking classic colorways is not a strange concept to Jordan Brand – they’ve been doing it for years. As part of its currently-unfolding summer 2021 collection, the sportswear company has announced two brand-new interpretations of the iconic “Flint” Air Jordan 13 and “Shadow” Air Jordan 1 High color schemes.
The latter proposition, aptly dubbed “Shadow 2.0,” is a modern twist on the OG arrangement that flips the classic blocking in near entirety. The upper is crafted from smooth black leather, which appears on the toeboxes, quarter panels, and ankle collars. In contrast, nubuck overlays are employed on the mudguards, eyestays, Swooshes, ankle-collar flaps, and heels in a “Light Smoke Grey” tone.
Black nylon tongues bear “Light Smoke Grey” Nike Air branding, while the ankle-collar flaps are home to the usual Wings logos. Like the original, this colorway is finished with white rubber midsoles, and rubber outsoles done in black.
The Air Jordan 1 High “Shadow 2.0” is scheduled to release May 15th on JimmyJazz.com for a retail price of $170.
