The Air Jordan 1 and the Nike Dunk are two of the most iconic sneakers ever produced by the Swoosh. The two silhouettes share many similarities, and with the release of the Air Jordan 1 “Bio Hack,” it seems that Jordan Brand is using that to its advantage.

The Jordan 1 “Bio Hack” draws heavily from the Nike Dunk High “Undefeated.”
The storied “Undefeated” Dunk from 2005 released exclusively at Undefeated in Los Angeles, and was limited to just 5,000 pairs. Nike used bold color combinations and mixes of premium materials to create this instant-classic.
Due to the limited nature of the release, many sneakerheads were unable to grab a pair in 2005. That’s where Jordan Brand comes in.
The Air Jordan 1 “Bio Hack” shares many similarities with the “Undefeated” Dunk, namely the colorblocking. The premium suede upper features a “Baroque Brown” heel counter and ankle collar, black side panels, a navy blue mudguard, and a light blue toebox. The sneaker also boasts a bright orange tongue, a “Racer Pink” sockliner, and “Metallic Silver” Nike Swooshes. The sneaker is rounded out by a mint green midsole, and a black outsole.
In a nod to its Dunk roots, the ankle collar on the Jordan 1 “Bio Hack” is not stitched to the sneaker like it normally would be. This detail references how the ankle collars on Nike Dunk Highs would always stick out if not laced.
The Dunk hype is arguably more palpable now than it ever has been. This is partly due to larger-than-life personalities like Travis Scott bringing old Dunks back from the grave, and introducing them to the younger generations.
In August, we saw the release of the Air Jordan 1 Zoom “Zen Green,” which paid homage to the Nike SB Dunk High “Brut.” This month we have the Air Jordan 1 “Bio Hack.” It seems that Jordan Brand is firmly on the path of re-crafting iconic Nike Dunk colorways into Air Jordan 1 colorways.
Because the Air Jordan 1 “Bio Hack” is such a loud sneaker, I think that it would be best to pair the sneaker with more subdued outfits to let the sneaker shine.
I suggest pairing the sneaker with the Covert Denim Jeans from Caliber. These black jeans are subtle and stylish, which is perfect for an understated outfit. Complete the outfit with the Nike Sportswear Club Hoodie in grey. The grey hoodie will pair well with the “Metallic Silver” Nike Swooshes and really tie the outfit together.
For the second outfit I suggest starting with the Jordan Flight Fleece Pants in the “Dark Sulfur” colorway. The “Dark Sulfur” will match the orange tongue of the sneaker almost perfectly, and the tapered fit of the pants will sit nicely on the sneaker. Finish the outfit off with the Multi-Space Raw Short Sleeve Tee from G-Star. This black t-shirt will help balance the bright pants, while still tying in to the side panels and outsole of the sneaker.
