2021 was a year that saw sneaker manufacturers, specifically Jordan Brand, flip the script on classic colorways. And though it’s still very early, it seems that trend will continue well into the new year.
The latest example of this comes in the form of the Air Jordan 4 “Crimson,” which is set to land later this month. This forthcoming iteration takes the colorblocking of the “Thunder” Air Jordan 4 – initially released in 2006 and last retroed in 2012 – and replaces the familiar “Tour Yellow” accents with brazen red ones.
The release arrives sporting a primarily black makeup, notably dressing the full-grain nubuck upper, TPU “wings,” side-panel netting, and the Jumpman-clad TPU heel counters. From there, bright “Crimson” hits are used to color the TPU eyestays, side-panel and forefoot mesh underlays, and foam midsole units. The sneaker is anchored by rubber outsoles done in black.
The Air Jordan 4 “Crimson” is slated to land January 15th on JimmyJazz.com in full-family sizing. Get to the site early for a chance to cop a pair.
