In terms of sheer depth, Jordan Brand’s catalogue of classic colorways runs deeper than the Mariana Trench. With that said, it makes sense that the sportswear powerhouse would opt to reach into the depths and grab past fan-favorite makeups from time to time, especially ones that haven’t seen the light of day in over a decade.
Recently, the “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 3 emerged for the first time since 2007, and word has it that a stealthy Air Jordan 5 colorway is set to follow suit later this month.
The colorway in question, nicknamed “Stealth 2.0,” is an updated take on the Air Jordan 5 “Stealth” from 2006. In the same design of its predecessor, the upper is done in crisp white leather, with translucent, TPU-mesh netting gracing the side-panel windows and lower tongues. Rich “Hyper Royal” accents contrast the neutral base, appearing as Jumpman logos, which pop against the “Stealth”-colored tongues. Sockliners are dipped in the “Hyper Royal” hue, too. Heel tabs are home to Jumpman logos embroidered in black – a deviation from the “Hyper Royal” embellishments found on the OG pair.
Like the original, foam midsoles are given a shimmery “Stealth” paint job; however, in another twist, the iconic shark-teeth accents have been painted black as opposed to the traditional “Hyper Royal.” The colorway is capped off with icy, semitranslucent rubber outsoles.
The Air Jordan 5 “Stealth 2.0” is set to drop March 27th on JimmyJazz.com in full-family sizing.
