Release Date: May 08, 2021 at 10:00 AM EST
Despite its lack of play as of late, the Air Jordan 7 is still undoubtedly one of the more coveted models from the brand’s historic lineup. Next year will mark the thirtieth anniversary of the Tinker Hatfield–designed hoops silhouette, but it appears that we won’t have to wait until then to see it return to the fold.
In addition to the recently-announced “PSG” Air Jordan 7, Jordan Brand is slated to rerelease the popular “Flint” colorway later this month. It will mark the first retro release of the color scheme, which originally hit shelves in 2006.
To the delight of Air Jordan purists, this impending iteration stays true to the 2006 pair. The upper is caked in “Flint Grey” nubuck, which appears on the toeboxes, quarter panels, and ankle collars. Tumbled leather overlays are draped over the side panels, ankle collars, and heels in a clean white tone. Tongues and inner booties are done in neoprene, and feature a distinctly-‘90s print.
The white-and-grey composition is contrasted accented with bright hits of “Varsity Purple” branding, which appears on the tongues, ankle collars, and heels. Elsewhere, foam midsole units are painted white, while rubber outsoles are done in the titular hue.
The Air Jordan 7 “Flint” will be available May 8th on JimmyJazz.com in full-family sizing. Don’t miss out.
